After November 1, ESC accepts applications on a rolling basis, which means there is no deadline to apply. The application remains open until all programs are full, which could be as late as July. However, some programs fill quickly so early application means you will be more likely to be placed in your first-choice program.
So, you’re ready to apply to serve through ESC. What’s next?
Once you’ve applied using the application found here, directors from the programs you identified on your application will reach out to you to set up a time to interview either via phone or Zoom.
Before First Offer Friday: February 5, 2021
After completing your interviews, each program director will stay in touch with you until First Offer Friday, which for 2021 is February 5. On that date, you may receive a call from one or more program directors with an invitation to join ESC for the 2021-2022 Service Year. You then have two weeks to choose which program you feel called to serve through.
After First Offer Friday
After February 5, your interview and invitation to serve will take place in quicker sequence. However, you will still have two weeks to make your final decision.
Once you accept an invitation to serve through ESC you will work with that specific program on details including start date, which is in August for every program except Beloved in the Desert, which starts in July.
Between accepting the invitation and your start date you will be invited to participate in several Corps-wide activities via Zoom.
