APPLYING TO ESC

We are accepting applications for a few programs with remaining 2026 openings, as well as programs starting in the winter of 2027. Applications for programs following an academic calendar for 2027-2028 will open later in the fall of 2026.

Wondering what's involved with applying to Episcopal Service Corps? Here's what you can expect as you move through the application process.

Discern

One of your first steps can be to decide where you feel called to serve. Using our shared application, you can apply to up to three ESC programs or you can apply to serve where most needed.

Apply

Fill out the online application. It takes about 45 minutes to an hour to complete. The application includes a few short answer questions that help us join you in discerning a good fit for you. We also ask for your resume and three references.

Interview

Once you’ve applied, directors from the programs you identified on your application will reach out to you to set up a time to interview via Zoom. You may have more than one interview with each program as you move through the discernment process. 

Offers

You may receive offers from one or more of your selected programs. Typically, you have two weeks to accept one of the offers.
