Discern
One of your first steps can be to decide where you feel called to serve. Using our shared application, you can apply to up to 5 ESC programs or you can apply to serve where most needed.
Apply
Fill out the online application. It takes about 45 minutes to an hour to complete. The application includes a number of short answer questions that help us join you in discerning a good fit for you. We also ask for your resume, transcript (if applicable), and three references.
Interview
Once you’ve applied, directors from the programs you identified on your application will reach out to you to set up a time to interview via phone or Zoom. You may have more than one interview, depending on the placement and the program. After completing your interviews, each program director will stay in touch with you until First Offer Friday (the first Friday in February), which is the first day ESC programs can extend offers for the coming program year. After First Offer Friday, your interview and invitation to serve will take place in a quicker sequence.
Offers
You may receive offers from one or more of your selected programs. Typically, you have two weeks to accept one of the offers.
