Spiritual Life
NYSJC is open and welcoming to all who are committed to growing spiritually. We are a Christian-based program and acknowledge that you don’t have to be Episcopalian to join our community. Come as you are. Our community worships with our Episcopal church host once a month.
Volunteering
NYSJC Fellows serve 35 hours at their placement sites. A combination of church outreach programs and nonprofit organizations. Once a week, the group gathers of formation for 4 hours, including Eucharist, a lunch and conversations/ readings around spirituality, vocation, and social justice icons and issues.
Financial Package
NYSJC offers a monthly $430 stipend, a community meal allowance of $125 monthly per Fellow pail communally, access to individual counseling through the Employment Assistance Program, and medical insurance through NY State Health marketplace, a relocation allowance of $500 upon successful completion of program requirements.

Our community is diverse. Living in NYC the city is your campus.
Enjoy museums, cultural diversity, ethnic restaurants, theatre, historical monuments, libraries, Central Park, walking trails etc.
Transportation is accessible, bus, rail and subway system.
